I’m Sim and am currently a Senior UX/UI Designer at OpenTable developing and growing our product through research, design and user testing. Working across multiple teams in both the UK and US I help to develop various areas of the OpenTable product from maps, user profile and booking flow using tools such as Framer or Principle to help demonstrate interactions, or tools like Axure to test processes to create the best experiences for our users.
I run a monthly design happy hour where we invite members of the company to come and discuss and help generate ideas around a problem to help us generate ideas that we can test and develop, and join regular meet-ups with the other design groups within OpenTable to work on improving our experience, provide feedback and make sure we are all aligned.
Previous experience includes designing products and experiences that span single and multiple platforms. Not only this, I enjoy writing and have contributed articles for The Human Layer about digital experiences, have lectured at Brunel University and occasionally post articles on Medium or OpenTable’s own blog.
